  Interfacing for silk fabrics

Silk Facts and Fiction For sewing with silk, sometimes you need an interfacing.

The most recommended one is "Touch o' Gold", an HTC product. This is cold fuse product made of wove n rayon and while it is expensive there isn't a better interfacing for silk on the market.

Another recommend is Softline Vlieseline/Vielene H180, especially for hand piecing. It's a non-woven cold fusible but unfortunately not widely available in the States.

Third on the list is Pellon #906, which is a nonwoven interfacing for sheer to lightweight fabrics. It's slightly heavier than the other two but still will maintain the lovely drape and hand of the silk.
